as a powerful rear-wheel-drive (RWD) sports car in both coupe and Sedan configurations. Based on the same FM (Front Midship) platform shared with the Nissan Z
, their sleek looks, chassis dynamics and long list of standard features made them popular alternatives to the BMW 3 Series
, Lexus IS
and Audi A4
. The G35 Sedan was replaced in 2007
with an all-new, second-generation G35 model that was larger, slightly more powerful and more luxurious. For 2008, Infiniti introduced the second-generation G37 coupe
. The name change reflected its larger 3.7-liter powerplant. It arrived with an improved chassis and even further refinement, according to the maker. For 2009, Infiniti has once again made significant changes to the G lineup with an engine upgrade in the Sedan, a new all-wheel-drive coupe, and an all-new G37 Convertible scheduled to arrive in showrooms in the spring of 2009.
