The Premium Package now includes the Intelligent Key system and Bluetooth hands-free phone system, and a new Sport Package includes a unique front fascia and side sills along with a revised optional rear spoiler. The G35 Sedan adds Bluetooth hands-free phone system and optional satellite radio to the Premium Package and a new exterior color is added to the palette-Liquid Platinum.

Overview
Launched in 2003 and aimed to direct sales away from the German sport sedan and coupe market, Infiniti's G35 series combines advanced European styling, a heavy dose of athletic suspension tuning, and refined powertrains. All G35s come equipped with a 3.5L, DOHC V-6 rated at 280 hp with the 5-speed automatic transmission (with manual mode), or 298 hp when equipped with the 6-speed manual. While the bulk of the line favors rear-wheel drive, the G35 Sedan is also offered as a viscous-coupeed, all-wheel-drive G35x model. Standard safety features include dual-stage front, front side, and side curtain air bags, ABS-assisted disc brakes, Vehicle Dynamic Control, a tire pressure-monitoring system, active front-seat head restraints and front seat belt pre-tensioners and load limiters.

A few of the G35's standard features include HID xenon headlamps with integrated fog lamps, leather seating surfaces and aluminum trimmed interior, a 6-disc CD changer with MP3 capability, digital climate control with micro filtration, and Bluetooth communication. Notable options include a DVD-based navigation system with 7-inch retracting screen, a Bose premium audio system with steering wheel-mounted controls, and a choice of XM or Sirius Satellite Radio. Also available is a dual-sliding glass sunroof featuring one-touch open/close, a sport suspension package, an aerodynamics package, rosewood interior trim, a Homelink universal transceiver, reclining rear seats in the Sedan and rear active steering and drilled aluminum pedals in the coupe.

The Competition
The Compact Premium Conventional segment in which G35 competes has traditionally been the place where many first-time luxury-car buyers seek their new wheels, and for years, has been dominated by the BMW 3 Series. A host of all-new or recently redesigned models has arrived on the scene in recent years, and now no less than 15 models (with more on the way) compete for buyers' attention.

The BMW 3 Series again led the segment in sales in 2005, garnering 106,950 sales during the calendar year, according to the J.D. Power and Associates Sales Report.SM The Acura TL (78,218 sales in calendar year 2005) was next in line, followed by the G35, which found 68,728 buyers. Other significant players include the Cadillac CTS, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4, Acura TSX, Volvo S40/V50 and V60, and Saab 9-3.
