Interior Features
Hyundai Blue Link telematics with one year of free service is standard on every 2013 Sonata. The Sonata Limited is equipped with upgraded dashboard trim, leather, and heated rear seats.

Under the Hood
All 2013 Sonatas except the Hybrid are equipped with a direct-injected, 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. In GLS and Limited trims, it makes 198 horsepower. In the SE, which has a dual exhaust system, the engine makes 200 horsepower. A version of this engine meets Partial Zero Emission Vehicle (PZEV) standards.

The Sonata SE and Limited can be upgraded to a direct-injected, turbocharged, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine making 274 horsepower. In addition to 74 extra horsepower, the Sonata 2.0T benefits from 269 lb.-ft. of torque spread between 1,750 and 4,500 rpm. Notably, these power figures are achieved using regular unleaded gas, not premium.

Both engines are paired with a 6-speed Shiftronic automatic transmission driving the front wheels. The SE and Limited trims have paddle shifters for manual operation.

The Sonata Hybrid is equipped with an Atkinson-cycle 2.4-liter 4-cylinder paired with an electric motor powered by a rechargeable Lithium polymer battery. Combined, they generate 206 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque. A 6-speed automatic transmission delivers power to the front wheels, and under the right conditions, Hyundai says the Sonata Hybrid operates solely on electric power at speeds up to 74 mph.
