The 2014 Hyundai Azera is a full-size family sedan that competes against the Buick LaCrosse, Chevrolet Impala, Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Ford Taurus, Kia Cadenza, Nissan Maxima, and Toyota Avalon.

Models and Features
For 2014, the Azera lineup includes a standard model and a new Limited trim level. The Azera Limited includes xenon headlights, power-folding side mirrors, power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, power driver's seat thigh support extension, memory for the driver's preferences, ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats. This version is also equipped with electroluminescent gauges, ambient cabin lighting, a navigation system with an 8-in. touch-screen display, and a premium 14-speaker audio system with HD Radio.

Options and Packages
The 2014 Hyundai Azera Limited can be upgraded with a Premium package containing rear park-assist sensors, power rear window sunshade, manual rear side window sunshades, panoramic sunroof, and 19-in. aluminum wheels. Additional extras are available through the dealership.

Under the Hood
Every 2014 Azera is equipped with a 293-horsepower, 3.3-liter V-6 engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission that delivers the power to the front wheels. The transmission includes a Shiftronic mode that allows the driver to take manual control of the gear changes, as well as an Active Eco system designed to help conserve fuel economy.

Fuel Economy
According to the EPA, the 2014 Azera returns 19 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, for a combined rating of 23 mpg.

Safety Ratings and Technology
The 2014 Hyundai Azera has not been assessed in crash testing by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). In tests conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the 2014 Hyundai Azera receives highest-possible "Good" ratings in four out of five evaluations--moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restraints and seats. The IIHS has not performed a small overlap frontal-impact test on this model.

Standard safety equipment includes a reversing camera and a Blue Link telematics system that equips the Azera with three free years of access to SOS Emergency Call and Automatic Collision Notification services. Blue Link also includes several features designed to provide the car's owner with alerts when the Azera passes specific geographic boundaries, when it exceeds specific velocities, and when it remains out past a specific curfew. Additionally, Blue Link can help locate, slow, and immobilize the Azera if it is stolen.

Beyond these features, the Azera Limited comes standard with a navigation system and a premium audio system, each operated using an 8-in. color touch-screen display, and the Limited's Premium package includes rear park-assist sensors.
