Exterior Features
The 2012 Honda Odyssey is a minivan offered in five different trim levels. Seventeen-inch steel wheels are standard, with larger wheels available on higher grades.

Interior Features
The 2012 Honda Odyssey offers seating for up to 8 passengers. Base Odyssey models are configured with cloth upholstery, air conditioning, full power accessories, 60/40 split-folding third-row seat, keyless entry, automatic headlights, cruise control, and more. Higher trim levels are configured with leather upholstery, heated front seats, conversation mirror, power liftgate, rearview camera, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and more.

Optional Features
While major options are generally bundled with the trim level, options include a multi-view camera and a rear-seat entertainment system.

Under the Hood
Honda Odyssey models are fitted with a standard 3.5-liter V-6 engine, which is rated at 248 horsepower. It is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission on base models, but higher trim levels are fitted with a 6-speed automatic. All 2012 Honda Odyssey models are front-wheel drive.

Fuel Economy
EPA fuel-economy figures for the 2012 Honda Odyssey are:

• Honda Odyssey with 5-speed automatic transmission: 18/27/21 mpg (city/highway/combined)
• Honda Odyssey with 6-speed automatic transmission: 19/28/22 mpg (city/highway/combined)

Safety
Standard safety features of note on the 2012 Honda Odyssey include side curtain air bags for all three rows and active head restraints for front passengers. In government crash tests, the 2012 Honda Odyssey received an overall rating of 5 (out of 5) stars, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). In tests conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the Odyssey received a "Good" rating-the Institute's highest-for frontal-offset and side-impact crashes. The Odyssey also earned a "Good" rating in the Institute's roof strength tests and was a "Top Safety Pick" in 2011.
