The automatic transmission features "tap up/tap down" capability for manual upshift/downshift with steering-wheel-mounted buttons. EPA fuel-economy estimates are not available for the 2009 Hummer H2 and H2 SUT.
A 4-channel anti-lock braking/traction control system (ABS/TCS) is standard. A heavy-duty independent front suspension and a 5-link rear suspension provide the Hummer H2 with superior handling, carrying and towing capability, according to GM. A self-leveling rear air spring suspension system is available for extreme off-road and towing requirements. The H2's off-road crawl ratio is approximately 39:1, and the truck features a standard 3.73 axle ratio. The H2 has a towing capacity of 8200 pounds.Safety

) for front- or side-impact crash protection, or for rollover tests.Technology

XM satellite radio is also standard and is available with the new NavTraffic real-time traffic advisory feature. OnStar 8.0 has available Destination Download, sending driving directions directly to the vehicle's navigation system. Bluetooth phone connectivity, new for 2009, enables hands-free calling. A standard remote starting system enables the H2's interior to be cooled or heated prior to driving. Also available are a rear-seat overhead DVD entertainment system with 8-inch screen, a family of premium radios, and a navigation system. Added to the H2 lineup in 2009 is a rear "vision on demand" system on the inside rearview mirror (for models not equipped with a navigation system). This replaces the previous "slide out" display.
