. A supercar with a 600-hp, 8.4-liter V-10 engine, the Viper has a top speed of 200 mph and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds, according to Dodge
. All Vipers have seating for 2, and the convertible has a manual-folding cloth top. For 2009, the Viper adds four new colors: Acaconda Green Pearl Coat, Graphite Metallic Clear Coat, Diamond Black Pearl Coat and Viper Bright White Clear Coat.Model Lineup
The 2009 Dodge Viper comes in two models: SRT10 convertible and SRT10 coupe. Standard equipment includes air conditioning; tilt leather-wrapped steering wheel; leather-wrapped shift knob; suede seats with leather trim; rearview mirror with reading lamps; power mirrors; speed-sensitive power door locks; power windows with one-touch down feature; remote keyless entry; AM/FM stereo with 6-disc CD changer; sport suspension; dual side exhaust; power trunk lid release; power-adjustable pedals; limited-slip differential; fog lamps; Xenon headlights; battery rundown protection; and P275/35ZR18 front and P345/30ZR19 rear tires on polished, forged-aluminum 5-spoke wheels. Also offered is the ACR package, which turns the Viper into a street-legal race car. It includes lighter "Sidewinder" wheels, with P295/30ZR18 front and P345/30ZR19 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires; lighter brake rotors; competition suspension with stiffer springs, adjustable shocks and larger front stabilizer bar; front splitter spoiler; front fascia with aero plates; and a carbon fiber rear wing spoiler.
Other options on the 2009 Dodge Viper include dual painted stripes (in white, silver, black, graphite or red); premium two-tone leather (standard on coupe); embroidered floor mats; cargo compartment carpet (coupe); car cover; light arc or graphite instrument panel bezel; 18- and 19-inch forged polished 6-spoke or Razor wheels with 5 U-shaped spokes; and a DVD-based navigation radio that comes with a 310-watt, 7-speaker sound system, single-disc CD player, and one year of Sirius satellite radio.Powertrain
Power for the 2009 Dodge Viper SRT10 comes from an 8.4-liter (510 cubic inch), aluminum-block V-10 engine with sequential fuel injection that produces 600 hp at 6100 rpm and 560 lb.-ft. of torque at 5000 rpm. Power is transferred through a Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual transmission. The engine features air gap headers and a low-restrictor exhaust system; flat-top pistons with 10.2:1 compression ratio; platinum-tip spark plugs; low-restriction air induction system with dual mass airflow; twin-disc clutch; and dual electronic throttle bodies. The 2009 Dodge Viper SRT10 coupe and convertible have advanced multi-stage front air bags; security alarm; Sentry Key theft-deterrent system; anti-lock 4-wheel disc brakes; child-seat upper tether anchors; adjustable brake and accelerator pedals; belt alert; seat belt constant-force retractors; 3-point belts with pre-tensioners; knee bolsters; and a tire-pressure-monitoring system. Traction control, electronic stability control and front side or curtain side air bags are not offered.

Unlike most of Dodge's other navigation systems, which come with a hard drive, the Viper's system is DVD-based. It comes with one year of Sirius satellite radio. The Viper ACR's suspension includes KW-brand shocks that can be adjusted for ride height and damper rate, depending on what type of race track you're at. The rear wing can also be adjusted to one of seven positions to optimize downforce for the conditions.
