Overview

Starting out as a coupe, the Chrysler Sebring was offered only as a sedan or convertible for its last three years. 2010 is the last model year of the Chrysler Sebring's manufacture.

The Touring trim level features 16-inch wheels, standard power accessories, a basic CD stereo system with satellite radio, air conditioning, and cruise control. The Limited level has 17-inch alloy wheels, upgraded sound system and steering wheel, leather upholstery, heated eight-way power driver seat, heated fold-down front passenger seat, automatic headlights, and heated side mirrors. The Limited offers optional 18-inch wheels, sunroof, foglamps, automatic climate control, and navigation system.

The LX is the convertible model, with standard features similar to those of the Touring sedan. The convertible adds a power vinyl soft top, the same stereo as the Limited, 17-inch wheels, and additional interior touches. The Limited convertible has a retractable hardtop, dual exhaust tips, 18-inch wheels, leather upholstery with heated front seats, automatic climate control, remote start, and more.

The Sebring is front-wheel-drive. The sedans and the LX convertible receive a 173-hp, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and a four-speed automatic transmission. The higher-trim convertible Sebring models increase power with V6 engines. The Touring convertible receives a 186-hp, 2.7-liter V6 engine that is paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The Limited convertible has a 235-hp, 3.5-liter V6 engine coupeed with a six-speed automatic transmission. The 3.5-liter engine is available as an option on the Limited sedan. Fuel economy, according to EPA estimates, ranges from 16 to 21 mpg in the city, depending on model, and 27 to 30 mpg on the highway.

In NHTSA tests, the Sebring sedan received five stars for frontal impact and front side protection, and four for rear side protection. The convertible received four stars for frontal driver protection and five stars in the other tests.
