Chrysler has refreshed its Pacifica for the 2007 model year; the refreshening includes styling, safety, performance, and flexibility features, as well as a new 4.0-liter V-6 engine that's linked to a new 6-speed automatic transmission. Electronic stability technology also becomes standard equipment for the 2007 model year.
The Chrysler Pacifica combines aspects of a minivan and a sport utility. It seats as many as 6, but does so in three rows of two each. For 2007, the Pacifica gets a new hood, fenders, headlamps, grille, and front fascia to update its look, which dates only to the 2004 model year when the so-called sport wagon was introduced. It is available in front- and all-wheel-drive versions. The front-wheel-drive version is equipped with a 200-hp, 3.8-liter V-6 engine and 4-speed automatic transmission. The all-wheel-drive version gets the new 255-hp, 4.0-liter V-6 and 6-speed automatic.
The Pacifica comes in three trim levels. The base version seats 5, has anti-lock brakes, traction control, YES Essentials stain- and odor-resistant cloth seating surfaces, an 8-way power driver's seat and 4-way power front passenger's seat, power locks and windows, cruise control, audio controls mounted on the steering wheel, and a tilting steering column. The Touring trim level adds a third row of seats, dual-zone climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 10-way power driver's seat, and more. The Limited trim level adds a DVD video entertainment package, automatic headlamps, fog lamps, heated front- and second-row seats, leather-trimmed seats, the ParkSense rear backup system, adjustable pedals, a power rear lift gate, a power moonroof, and more. Also, side curtain air bags that cover all three rows of seats are standard on all Pacifica models.
