For 2013, the Chrysler 200 Sedan is offered in LX, Touring and Limited trim levels. The contents of last year's 200 S Sedan are optional for Touring and Limited trims in the form of an option package.
Power heated exterior mirrors are standard on all trims, and the 200 LX Sedan rides on 17-inch steel wheels with plastic wheel covers.Interior Features
The 2013 Chrysler 200 LX Sedan is equipped with standard air conditioning, power windows, power door locks with remote keyless entry, power trunk release, cruise control, and a tilt/telescoping steering wheel. A stereo with CD/MP3 player and an auxiliary audio input jack is also included, along with a seat-height adjuster for the driver, ambient interior lighting, outside temperature display, and floor mats.Optional Features
The base Chrysler 200 LX Sedan is available with optional Uconnect hands-free connectivity, a USB port, and satellite radio.
Automatic climate control, power driver seat, 6-speaker sound system, aluminum wheels, and a universal garage door opener are standard on the Chrysler 200 Touring Sedan. Additionally, the 200 Touring Sedan has a trip computer, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, illuminated visor vanity mirrors, LED reading lights, automatic headlights, and a tire-pressure monitoring system that reads individual tire pressures. A 6-speed automatic transmission replaces a 4-speed automatic transmission on this trim level.
Uconnect hands-free connectivity, USB port, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a Cold Weather Group with heated front seats and remote engine starting are optional on the 200 Touring Sedan. Buyers can also get a power sunroof, premium audio system, and a more powerful V-6 engine on the Touring Sedan. The new S Appearance option package includes 18-inch polished aluminum wheels, blacked-out exterior trim, darkened headlights, projector fog lamps, and an "S" badge.
The Chrysler 200 Limited Sedan is equipped with a standard V-6 engine, leather seats, heated front seats, premium audio system, Uconnect hands-free connectivity, remote engine starting, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. It also gets a set of 18-inch polished aluminum wheels, fog lights, and additional chrome trim.
Options for this trim level include a touch-screen navigation system, power sunroof, Boston Acoustics sound system, and a new S package with the same features of the Touring trim's S Appearance package, plus a steering wheel wrapped with perforated leather, and body-color door handles and mirror housings.Under the Hood
The 2013 Chrysler 200 LX and Touring Sedans are equipped with a standard 173-horsepower, 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. A 3.6-liter V-6 engine is optional on the Touring trim and standard on the 200 Limited, which generates 283 horsepower. A 4-speed automatic transmission is included on the 200 LX Sedan, while other trim levels get a 6-speed automatic with an AutoStick manual shift mode. EPA fuel-economy estimates for the 2013 Chrysler 200 Sedan are:
- 200 LX: 21/29/24 mpg (city/highway/combined)
- 200 Touring with 4-cylinder engine: 20/31/23 mpg
- 200 with V-6 engine: 19/29/22 mpg
The 2013 Chrysler 200 Sedan is equipped with 6 air bags, traction control, stability control, and 4-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes with brake assist. A standard Enhanced Accident Response System cuts the flow of fuel to the engine, unlocks the doors, and activates the hazard lights when the air bags deploy. The Touring and Limited trims also include a tire-pressure monitoring system that measures pressure at the individual wheels.
In crash tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the 2013 Chrysler 200 Sedan received an overall rating of 4 (out of 5) stars. The front passenger protection rates 3 stars in the frontal-impact test, and driver protection in a lateral sliding collision with a pole rates 1 star. As this overview was written, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) had not performed crash tests on the 2013 Chrysler 200 Sedan. However, the structurally identical 2012 model was named a "Top Safety Pick" by the Institute.
