The Chevrolet Tahoe is a full-size SUVs that's smaller than the Suburban. Originally known as the Chevrolet Blazer, the vehicle was renamed Tahoe for the 1995 model year. Its basic design is similar to its stable mate Yukon, as well as the more luxurious Cadillac Escalade. For 2010, Tahoe now offers just one engine: a V8 with E85 ethanol capability.

The 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe is available in three trim levels: LS (base), LT, and LTZ models, with many options available on all trim levels. The LS trim includes 17-inch wheels, automatic headlights, cruise control, OnStar, and a six-speaker stereo. The bench-style front seat is split 40/20/40, the second row seat splits 60/40, and the folding and removable third row splits 50/50. An Interior Plus options package features automatic tri-zone climate control, six-way power front bucket seats, Bluetooth connectivity, and premium trim. A Convenience package includes rear parking sensors, rear-view camera, power adjustable pedals, and remote start.

The LT trim includes leather upholstery, as well as the Interior Plus and the Convenience package as standard-with the exception of the rear-view camera. The LT also offers two options packages. The Luxury package upgrades the mirrors and seats, while the Off-Road package includes 18-inch wheels, skid plates, distinctive front and rear fascias, and upgraded springs and shocks.

The LTZ trim includes the Luxury package as standard and adds 20-inch wheels, navigation system, perforated leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, second-row bucket seats, and a 10-speaker Bose sound system. Air suspension is available as an option.

A 320-hp, 5.3 liter V8 engine powers the Tahoe, coupeed with a six-speed automatic transmission. Either two-wheel or four-wheel drive is available. For all models, EPA estimates 14 mpg in the city, 20 mpg on the highway, and 16 mpg combined. Maximum towing capacity, when properly equipped, is 8,200 lbs.

MSRP for the 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe starts at $37,280.
