There are two versions of the 5.3-liter Gen IV V-8 engine, both of which are compatible with E85 ethanol: the LMG (optional on 2WD) and an aluminum-block LC9 engine standard on 4WD that generate 310 hp at 5200 rpm (both) and 335 lb.-ft. of torque at 4200 rpm (LMG)/4400 rpm (LC9). In addition, an all-aluminum, 6.0-liter V-8 engine with variable valve timing (VVT) and Active Fuel Management, rated at 366 hp at 5500 rpm and 376 lb.-ft. of torque at 4400 rpm, is available for 1500 models in 2WD/4WD.
