The 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 is sold in regular, extended, and crew cab body styles. Shoppers may select a short, standard, or long cargo box, in WT, LS, LT XFE, or LTZ trim levels. Most trims have chrome exterior trim, and wheel choices range from 17 to 22 inches in diameter.Interior Features

The Silverado is available in 2- or 4-wheel drive (2WD or 4WD). Four different engines are available for the 2013 Chevy Silverado, depending on cab style and drivetrain selection.
The 4.3-liter V-6 engine generates 195 horsepower at 4,600 rpm and 260 lb.-ft. of torque at 2,800 rpm. It is paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. A 4.8-liter V-8 engine generates 302 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 305 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,600 rpm. It also comes with a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The 5.3-liter V-8 engine creates 315 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 335 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,400 rpm. Active Fuel Management, a cylinder-deactivation system, helps to conserve fuel, and this engine is also E85-compatible. A 6-speed automatic transmission is standard.
The most powerful engine is a 6.2-liter V-8 generating 403 horsepower at 5,700 rpm and 417 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,300 rpm. This engine is also E85-compatible, and is equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Payload capacity ranges from 1,513 pounds to 1,937 pounds depending on cab, bed, and driveline configuration. Trailer tow capacity ranges from 8,900 pounds to 10,700 pounds (7,000 pounds for the Silverado XFE).
Chevrolet has not announced whether the Silverado Hybrid will be available for 2013.Fuel Economy

Standard on the 2013 Silverado are traction and stability control, trailer sway control, hill-start assist, and 6 air bags. OnStar service with Automatic Crash Response is optional, along with a reversing camera and rear park-assist sensors.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the 2013 Silverado gets a 4- (out of 5) star overall crash-test rating. As this overview is written, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety had not officially rated the 2013 Chevy Silverado for crash protection.
