Models and Features
Chevrolet sells the 2015 Impala in LS, LT, and LTZ trim levels with a choice between a 4-cylinder or a V-6 engine.

Upgrade to the Impala LT for an automatic start/stop system for the 4-cylinder engine, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, comfort and trim upgrades, and a Chevrolet MyLink radio with an 8-in. color touch screen, Bluetooth streaming audio capability, hidden storage with a valet lock, and additional USB ports. The Impala LT also has heated exterior mirrors with turn signal indicators and ground lighting, along with 18-in. aluminum wheels and a touch pad for opening the trunk.

The Impala LTZ is equipped with leather seats, heated front seats, 8-way power-adjustable front passenger's seat, keyless access with push-button engine starting, ambient cabin lighting, and remote engine starting. Standard safety equipment for this model includes a reversing camera, rear park-assist sensors, blind-spot monitoring system, lane-departure warning system, rear cross-traffic alert system, and a forward-collision warning system. Visual identifiers include HID headlights, LED running lights, chrome exterior mirror caps, and 19-in. machined-finish aluminum wheels.

Under the Hood
A 196-horsepower, 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine is standard for the 2015 Impala, and in the LT and LTZ trims, it is now equipped with fuel-saving automatic start/stop technology that shuts the engine off when the car is idling in traffic. The Impala LT and LTZ can be optioned with a 305-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 engine. Each power plant is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, which delivers the power to the front wheels.

New for 2015, a bi-fuel version of the Impala's V-6 engine will be available for the LS and LT trims, designed to operate on compressed natural gas (CNG) or on gasoline. Chevrolet estimates the car's CNG range to be 150 city miles. Combined with gasoline, the bi-fuel Impala can travel an estimated 500 miles, according to Chevy.

Regardless of powertrain choice, Chevrolet provides free scheduled maintenance for the first 2 years or 24,000 miles of ownership.

Fuel Economy
According to the EPA, the 2015 Impala gets 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway with the standard 4-cylinder engine. Choose the V-6 and ratings drop to 18 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.

Safety and Technology
Every 2015 Impala is equipped with 10 standard air bags and 6 free months of OnStar Directions and Connections service. The OnStar system includes Automatic Crash Response, which activates when the car's air bags deploy, automatically calling emergency services in order to speed rescue personnel to the Impala's location.

Rear park-assist sensors are optional for the Impala LS, but Chevrolet offers none of its other safety-related technologies on the base model. The Impala LT can be upgraded with the list of systems that come standard for the LTZ, including a reversing camera, blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning system, and a forward-collision warning system.

In addition to safety features, the 2015 Impala LT and LTZ are equipped with a Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system that includes an 8-in. color touch screen, voice control, Bluetooth calling and music streaming, access to Internet radio, and more. For 2015, OnStar transforms the Impala into a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot with fast 4G LTE connectivity. The service is free for the first 3 months of Impala ownership, or the first 3GB of data usage, whichever comes first.
