Overview

What Changed for the 2010 Chevrolet HHR:

  • The Chevrolet HHR is carryover for the 2010 model year
  • Rear vision camera (late availability)
  • Revised Cashmere interior color scheme
  • Three new exterior colors: Ice White, Crystal Red Metallic Tintcoat and Cyber Grey Metallic

The Chevrolet HHR (Heritage High Roof) is a compact wagon with a retro design inspired by the boxy cars and trucks of the 1940s. It was introduced for the 2006 model year, and combines some characteristics of an SUV with the look of an old-fashioned sedan

The 2010 Chevrolet HHR is available in two distinct body styles, each offering a choice of trim levels. The two-seat Panel van has windowless rear doors that open via remote release, a 40-amp power point for electronic devices, and storage compartments on the cargo floor. The wagon body style is a four-door, five-passenger model. Both are available in LS (base) and LT trims. Only the wagon is offered in top-line SS trim

The LS has 16-in. wheels, a fold-flat passenger seat, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, power accessories, air conditioning, OnStar, cruise control, and a six-speaker sound system. The 1LT and 2LT trims upgrade the wheels, lights, steering wheel, and sound system, and add color-keyed running boards. The SS trim has 18-in. wheels, a more powerful turbocharged engine, a sport supension, distinctive exterior styling, and two-tone front seats. An optional Performance package of options is available with the SS, adding a limited slip differential and Brembo front disc brakes

Three four-cylinder engine choices are offered with the HHR. The basic powertrain has a 155-hp 2.2-liter engine that delivers 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway in the LS and 1LT models. Standard on the 2LT and available as an option on the 1LT is a 172-hp, 2.4-liter engine. Both engines are paired with a five-speed manual transmission as standard, while a four-speed automatic is optional. The SS model has a turbocharged 260-hp 2.0-liter engine with the same transmission options. All HHRs are front-wheel drive

The HHR receives five stars in front- and side-impact testing by NHTSA. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) rates the HHR "Good" for frontal-offset impacts and "Acceptable" for side impacts

Base MSRP for the 2010 Chevrolet HHR ranges from $18,720 to $26,255.
