The Cadillac SRX is a midsize crossover sport utility vehicle, first launched in 2004. The vehicle was last redesigned for the 2010 model year, and the current version is a second-generation model. Cadillac has carried the 2011 model forward virtually unchanged.
The SRX is offered in six trim levels. The Base model feature premium vinyl upholstery, full power equipment, dual-zone automatic climate control, eight-way power driver's seat, 18-inch alloy wheels, and more. The Luxury model adds leather upholstery, parking sensors, remote engine start, heated seats, power tailgate, and Bluetooth phone connectivity.
The Performance model emphasizes sportiness with upgrades such as adaptive xenon headlamps, adaptive suspension, voice-activated navigation system, and 20-inch wheels. The Premium model adds tri-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and rear audio controls. The last two models, Turbo Performance and Turbo Premium, are nearly identical to their naturally-aspirated sibling models, except they are fitted with a turbocharged engine.
Under the hood of the SRX is a 3.0-liter, six-cylinder, rated at 265 horsepower and mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is the standard powertrain, and all-wheel drive is offered on all but the base model. Turbocharged models are fitted with a boosted 2.8-liter, six-cylinder engine rated at 300 horsepower, and all-wheel drive is standard on those models. The EPA rates the fuel economy of the 2011 Cadillac SRX between 15 mpg city, and 25 mpg highway, depending on driveline.
The 2011 Cadillac SRX starts with a base price of about $35,000 and tops out with the Turbo Premium model, which starts around $53,000.
