Overview

The Cadillac CTS is a midsize coupe, sedan and wagon first introduced for the 2003 model year. Designed to replace the discontinued Cadillac Catera, the CTS is currently the sportiest offering in Cadillac's lineup. In addition to its sedan and wagon body styles, the CTS is also sold as a 2-door coupe. Now in its second generation, last completely redesigned for the 2008 model year, the CTS is unchanged for 2011.

The 2011 Cadillac CTS is offered in five different models: Base, Luxury, Performance, Premium, and CTS-V. The CTS Base model arrives with standard premium vinyl upholstery, air conditioning with dual-zone temperature control, 8-way power driver's seat, cruise control, 8-speaker audio system with satellite radio functionality, 17-inch alloy wheels, and more. The CTS Luxury model is upgraded with leather upholstery, 10-way power seats, wood/leather steering wheel, additional interior lighting, Bluetooth phone connectivity, and a 6-disc changer CD player. The CTS Performance model has upgraded FE2 sport suspension, limited-slip rear differential, adaptive HID headlamps, performance brakes, 18-inch alloy wheels, and other performance parts. The CTS Premium model adds upscale luxury equipment, including a panoramic sunroof, hard-drive-based navigation system, and more. The CTS-V is designed for enthusiasts. In addition to its upgraded suspension, brakes, wheels, and tires, the interior features aggressive seats and a thick-rimmed steering wheel.

The 2011 Cadillac CTS is offered with one of three engines. The base engine is a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder, rated at 270 horsepower. The optional 3.6-liter 6-cylinder engine is rated at 306 horsepower. The CTS-V is offered with a supercharged, 6.2-liter V-8 engine rated at 556 horsepower. All 2011 Cadillac CTS models are offered with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is offered with the 6-cylinder engine and an automatic transmission. The EPA rates the fuel economy of the 2011 Cadillac CTS between 12 mpg city and 27 mpg highway, depending on engine and driveline.

The 2011 Cadillac CTS Sedan starts at a base price of around $36,000 and tops out with the CTS-V, which starts at around $64,000.
