Exterior Features
The 2013 Cadillac CTS is available in coupe, sedan and sport wagon body styles, and offered in Standard, Luxury, Premium, and Performance trim levels called "collections." A performance-tuned CTS-V model is also available.

Interior Features
Leatherette seats, a Bose sound system, heated side mirrors, and one year of free OnStar service are included on the base version of the 2013 CTS.

Optional Features
Key optional upgrades to the 2013 CTS include a panoramic glass sunroof, leather upholstery, navigation, Bose surround-sound audio system, bigger wheels, upgraded interior trim, Recaro sport seats, performance tweaks, and more.

Under the Hood
A 3.0-liter V-6 engine is standard for the CTS Sedan and CTS Sport Wagon. It generates 270 horsepower, and drives the rear wheels through either a 6-speed manual transmission (on sedan models) or a 6-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive (AWD) is optional.

A direct-injection, 3.6-liter V-6 engine generating 318 horsepower is standard on the CTS coupe, and optional on the CTS Sedan and CTS Sport Wagon models. A 6-speed automatic transmission is standard with the CTS coupe, and can be equipped with paddle shifters for additional driver control.

The CTS-V Sedan and Sport Wagon models are equipped with a supercharged, 6.2-liter V-8 engine sourced from the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. The CTS-V engine provides 556 horsepower and 551 lb.-ft. of torque, and is connected to a choice of either a dual-disc 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and Performance Algorithm Shifting. All CTS-V models are rear-wheel drive (RWD).

EPA fuel-economy estimates for the 2013 Cadillac CTS are:

  • CTS 3.0L with automatic transmission: 18/27/22 mpg
  • CTS Wagon 3.0L with automatic transmission: 18/26/21 mpg
  • CTS 3.0L AWD with automatic transmission (Sedan and Wagon): 18/26/21 mpg
  • CTS 3.6L with automatic transmission (RWD and AWD): 18/27/21 mpg
  • CTS Wagon 3.6L with automatic transmission (RWD and AWD): 18/26/21 mpg
  • CTS-V with manual transmission: 14/19/16 mpg

Safety
In addition to 6 air bags, anti0lock brakes with brake assist, and a traction and stability control system, the 2013 CTS features one year of free OnStar service with automatic crash response. Safety-related options include a reversing camera, adaptive forward-lighting system, rear park-assist sensors, and rain-sensing wipers.

In National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) crash tests, the CTS Sedan and CTS Sport Wagon received a 5- (out of 5) star overall rating. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) had not evaluated the 2013 models at the time this overview was written.
