Exterior Features
The Buick Regal is adapted from the Opel Insignia, and was designed and engineered in Europe. Standard and Turbo models display key Buick design elements, while the performance-oriented Regal GS is equipped with more aggressive styling, bigger wheels and tires, and a lower stance.

Interior Features
Buick IntelliLink pairs a smartphone to a color touch-screen radio via Bluetooth or a USB port, allows voice or smartphone control of functions, and can stream Internet radio through the Regal's stereo speakers. Additionally, every Regal is equipped with leather, power driver's seat, heated front seats, and automatic climate control.

Optional Features
Base, Premium I, Premium II, Premium III, and GS trim levels are available. Depending on the model, the Regal may have rear park-assist sensors, push-button starting, premium surround-sound system, and HID headlights, among other upgrades. The Regal Turbo Premium III is equipped with a turbocharged engine, 19-inch wheels, and an Interactive Driver Control (IDC) system. The Regal GS offers more power, high-performance brakes and suspension upgrades, and an optional set of 20-inch wheels wrapped in performance tires. A power sunroof and a navigation system are also available.

Under the Hood
Base, Premium I, and Premium II trim levels are equipped with Buick's eAssist mild hybrid powertrain, which combines a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with an electric assist motor and a Lithium-ion battery. Total system output is 182 horsepower.

The Regal Turbo Premium III trim is powered by a turbocharged, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine generating 220 horsepower. This engine is optional on Premium I and Premium II Regals. An Interactive Drive Control (IDC) system is also included, tailoring engine response to one of three driver-selected settings. Shoppers have a choice between a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Regal GS gets a 270-horsepower version of the turbocharged engine, combined with an enhanced version of IDC. Transmission choices are the same as for the Regal Turbo.
