The BMW X3 xDrive28i has a direct-injected, turbocharged, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine making 240 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 260 lb.-ft. of torque between 1,250 and 4,800 rpm. Both X3 models are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission with auto start/stop technology, which shuts the engine off when idling at an intersection or in traffic, and automatically restarts the engine when it is time to go. Standard Driving Dynamics technology offers four driving modes that tailor throttle, steering and suspension calibration to ECO PRO, Comfort, Sport and Sport+ settings.
