Additionally, the S7 offers rain-sensing wipers, heated washer nozzles, quad exhaust outlets, aluminum trim, and 19-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in summer performance tires. A power tailgate and an adaptive rear spoiler are also standard on this model.Interior Features

Bluetooth connectivity with music streaming and a 630-watt Bose premium surround-sound audio system with satellite radio, HD Radio, and an iPod connection are also standard, along with Audi's MMI Navigation Plus system. The latter feature includes voice-recognition technology, handwriting recognition pad, and Audi Connect service with Google Earth navigation images, Google Local search, and mobile Wi-Fi capability.
The Audi S7 also comes standard with a 4-zone automatic climate control system, power sunroof, LED ambient cabin lighting, reversing camera, and front and rear park-assist sensors.Optional Features
Options for the 2013 Audi S7 are grouped mainly into equipment packages. A heated steering wheel and heated rear seats are included in the Cold Weather package, while the Comfort Seating package adds 22-way power sport comfort front seats with heating, ventilation, memory, and massage.
The Driver Assistance package equips the S7 with power-folding exterior mirrors, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring system, and Audi Pre-Sense Plus technology. The Innovation package includes the Driver Assistance package plus a head-up display, Active Lane Assist, top-view and corner-view camera system, and Night Vision Assistant with Pedestrian Detection technology.
Additionally, Audi S7 buyers can upgrade this car with metallic paint, full LED headlights, LED cornering lights, and 20-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in P255/35ZR20 performance tires. For the interior, Audi offers a choice of trim materials, black cloth headliner, rear-seat side-impact air bags, power rear window sunshade, and manual rear-side window sunshades. There's also a 1,300-watt, 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system available as an option.Under the Hood
A twin-turbocharged, direct-injection, 4.0-liter V-8 engine powers the 2013 Audi S7, generating 420 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 406 lb.-ft. of torque starting at 1,400 rpm. Cylinder-on-demand technology allows the S7 to cruise on the highway using fewer engine cylinders, thereby increasing fuel economy.
A 7-speed S-tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission is paired with Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive system and a sport rear differential. Under normal driving conditions, Quattro delivers 60% of engine power to the rear wheels. Audi says the S7 accelerates to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.
The S7 is equipped with a sport braking system and an adaptive air suspension tuned for performance. Audi Drive Select technology allows the driver to adjust the S7's steering, suspension and drivetrain components to match one of four manually selected settings: Comfort, Auto, Dynamic, or Individual. Using the Individual setting, the driver can custom-tailor the way the S7 drives by choosing various elements from the Comfort, Auto and Dynamic calibration menus.Fuel Economy
EPA fuel-economy estimates for the 2013 Audi S7 are 17/27/20 mpg (city/highway/combined).Safety
The 2013 Audi S7 is equipped with 8 standard air bags, including knee air bags for front-seat occupants. A traction and stability control system is also standard, as well as 4-wheel ventilated disc anti-lock brakes with brake assist, rain-sensing wipers, reversing camera, front and rear park-assist sensors, and adaptive Xenon Plus headlights.
Safety-related options for the Audi S7 include side-impact air bags for the rear-seat occupants and a Driver Assistance package that includes an active cruise control system with stop-and-go capability, blind-spot monitoring system, and Audi PreSense Plus technology. Audi PreSense Plus senses when a crash is potentially going to occur, and can automatically apply the brakes to try to reduce the force of impact.
The optional Innovation package includes the contents of the Driver Assistance package and adds a head-up display, top-down and corner-view camera system, Active Lane Assist system, and Night Vision Assistant with Pedestrian Detection technology. Equipped with night vision, the S7 can detect people and animals up to 1,000 feet ahead of the car, and when the car closes to within 300 feet of the person or animal, the system provides a yellow visual warning to warn the driver to use caution. If the person or animal steps into the S7's path, the system issues a red visual warning.
As this overview is written, neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has performed crash tests on the 2013 Audi S7 or the Audi A7 on which it is based.
