Exterior Features
The 2013 Audi A4 is available in Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige trim levels. The A4 Premium includes 17-inch aluminum wheels, and rain-sensing wipers and headlights. The A4 also receives a new grille, hood, bumpers and wheels. Also available are new LED running lights and LED taillights.

Interior Features
The new Audi A4 features Piano Black interior trim with stainless steel mesh inlays, revised gauges, and simplified infotainment and climate controls. Standard equipment for the A4 Premium trim includes leather upholstery, 8-way power front seats, power sunroof, and single-zone automatic climate control.

Optional Features
The A4 Premium Plus trim is equipped with 18-inch wheels, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, triple-zone automatic climate control, Homelink remote, Xenon headlights, and LED running and brake lights. The A4 Prestige trim includes a 505-watt Bang & Olufsen premium sound system, Audi Side Assist blind-spot detection, Audi MMI Plus Navigation, reversing camera with rear park-assist sensors, adaptive front lighting, and an Audi Advanced Key system.

A new Driver Assistance package includes adaptive cruise control, dynamic steering and Audi Drive Select technology. The MMI Navigation Plus package and Audi Connect mobile Wi-Fi option provides Google search by voice and Google Earth maps, while the stereo adds Bluetooth audio streaming capability.

Additional options include premium Nappa leather upholstery, real wood trim, power rear window sunshade, Sport package with a sport suspension and sport seats, and an S-Line package with 19-inch wheels and leather/Alcantara upholstery.

Under the Hood
The Audi A4 is equipped with a turbocharged, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine generating 211 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. Standard on front-wheel-drive models is a continuously variable transmission (CVT). A4 models with Quattro all-wheel drive are paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox or an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission.

The A4 can also be equipped with Audi Drive Select, which provides driver-selected Auto, Comfort, Dynamic, and Individual vehicle settings.

Fuel Economy
Official EPA fuel-economy estimates for the 2013 Audi A4 are as follows:

• A4 with CVT: 24/31/26 mpg (city/highway/combined)
• A4 Quattro with manual transmission: 22/32/26 mpg
• A4 Quattro with automatic transmission: 20/30/24 mpg

Safety
The 2013 A4 is equipped with 6 air bags, 4-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes with brake assist, and traction and stability control. Optional features include Audi Side Assist, adaptive cruise control, park-assist sensors, reversing camera, rear side air bags, and an adaptive front lighting system.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) had not completed its evaluation of the 2013 A4 when this overview was written. Similarly, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) had not rated this model when this overview was written.
