Exterior Features
The 2013 Acura ZDX is a 5-passenger vehicle built on the same platform as the Acura MDX luxury crossover SUV, and is equipped with standard all-wheel drive (AWD). Acura calls the 2013 ZDX a 4-door sports coupe.

For 2013, the Acura ZDX is equipped a single way, and dealers offer a handful of extra-cost accessories. Standard equipment includes 19-inch aluminum wheels with dark finish accents, panoramic glass roof with an integrated sunroof, power tailgate, front and rear park-assist sensors, automatic xenon high-intensity discharge headlights, and dual exhaust outlets. The ZDX also offers power-folding and heated side mirrors with embedded LED turn signal indicators, auto-dimming glass, and automatic tilt-down functionality when the vehicle is in reverse gear.

Interior Features
Because the 2013 ZDX is equipped with everything as standard equipment, it includes formerly optional features that were offered in the previous Technology and Advance packages. Highlights include a navigation system with real-time traffic and weather reports, GPS-linked climate control system with humidity control, and premium 435-watt surround-sound audio system with a USB/iPod connection, hard-drive music server featuring Song by Voice technology, and 10 speakers. Additionally, the ZDX now includes heated and ventilated power front seats wrapped in perforated premium leather, keyless access with push-button ignition, multi-view rearview camera system, and a blind-spot information system.

Wood dashboard trim, an extended leather treatment for the cabin, and a sport steering wheel with LED lighting and paddle shifters are also standard, along with LED ambient cabin lighting and LED gauge lighting. With the ZDX's rear seat in use, the vehicle can carry up to 27.5 cubic feet of cargo. Fold the back seat, and maximum cargo space measures 57.3 cubic feet.

Optional Features
For 2013, there are no factory options available for the Acura ZDX. Dealers can install extra-cost accessories at the buyer's request.

One feature that Acura no longer offers on the ZDX is its Integrated Dynamics System, an adaptive suspension with Comfort and Sport settings that was formerly included in the optional Advance package.

Under the Hood
Every 2013 Acura ZDX is equipped with a 3.7-liter V-6 engine generating 300 horsepower at 6,300 rpm and 270 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,500 rpm. A 6-speed automatic transmission with Grade Logic Control, Shift Hold Control, Cornering G Shift Control, and hill-start assist is standard, and offers manual shifting via the gear selector or paddle shifters mounted to the steering wheel.

Acura's Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) is also standard, continuously varying power distribution depending on traction and how the ZDX is driven. Up to 80% of engine power can be directed to a single rear wheel if necessary, according to Acura.

Fuel Economy
EPA fuel-economy estimates for the 2013 Acura ZDX are 16/23/19 mpg (city/highway/combined).

Safety
The 2013 Acura ZDX is equipped with 6 air bags, traction and stability control system, trailer stability assist system, and 4-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes with brake assist. Additionally, the ZDX includes a multi-view reversing camera, front and rear park-assist sensors, forward-collision warning system, lane-departure warning system, and a blind-spot information system.

Starting in 2013, Acura will no longer offer an adaptive cruise control system or a Collision Mitigation Braking System for the ZDX. These items were formerly available in the optional Advance package.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the 2013 Acura ZDX receives a 5-star (out of 5) overall crash-test rating. As this overview is written, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has not rated the 2013 Acura ZDX.
