2014 Toyota Trucks, SUVs and Vans Overview

Toyota has done a lot of work on its 2014 lineup of trucks, SUVs, crossovers, and minivans. In particular, the Highlander has been restyled and now offers seating for up to 8 occupants, boasts updated powertrains, and features a quieter and more upscale interior, revised all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, and additional safety and convenience features. Similarly, the 2014 Toyota Tundra full-size pickup has been heavily revised with a fresh look, new trim levels, improved comfort, updated packages, and an optional blind-spot monitoring system.

With the exception of the Land Cruiser, which has been carried over unchanged for 2014, the rest of Toyota's people- and cargo-moving fleet has been tweaked to varying degrees, too. For the rugged 4Runner, enhancements include updated styling and an upgraded interior, while the FJ Cruiser--likely in its last year of production--arrives with a revised suspension and new special-edition version (to be detailed later in the model year). Not to be outdone, the 2014 RAV4 returns with an improved infotainment system and added safety features, the Sienna minivan benefits from a standard towing package, the Tacoma gets a special appearance package and standard rearview camera (but loses the sporty X-Runner trim level), and the Venza mixes things up with a couple of equipment changes. Finally, the Sequoia SUV celebrates the 2014 model year with an upgraded smartphone-linked infotainment system.

In-car connectivity again proves to be the theme for 2014, as Toyota's Entune smartphone-linked infotainment system is all that distinguishes the new Sequoia from the 2013 model it replaces. The technology uses downloaded apps to integrate a drivers' mobile device with the Sequoia's built-in Entune hardware.
