By: Jeff Youngs, 10/1/2013
2014 Nissan Cars Overview

Several changes have been made to the Nissan car lineup for 2014, with some models seeing more updates than others. The Altima Coupe has been discontinued.

Starting on the small end of the spectrum, Nissan adds a new paint color to differentiate the 2014 Cube from its predecessor, while the all-new Versa Note is poised to attract buyers with commendable fuel economy and efficiently packaged versatility. The Nissan Versa sedan adds standard features and retuned mechanical bits, the fully electric Leaf sports a standard rearview camera, and the 2014 Sentra returns with a revised chassis and updated navigation system. For the popular Altima sedan, Nissan has added a reengineered continuously variable transmission (CVT), new colors, and new packages, whereas the big news for the Maxima focuses on a special value package and a standard rearview camera.

That leaves the two sports cars in the company's lineup, including a 2014 370Z that offers updated colors and gauges. Nicknamed "Godzilla" by gearheads, the Nissan GT-R returns for 2014 with a more responsive engine, new trims and packages, and a retuned chassis.

2014 Nissan 370Z
Nissan's 2-passenger sports car, available in coupe and convertible form, returns for 2014 with only minor updates, all of which have been made to the sportiest Nismo model. In addition to the Nismo, the 2014 Nissan 370Z can be ordered in base and Touring variants.

Premium and Black Edition trim levels are also available, as is a new Special Edition package accented by unique colors and trim. The all-wheel-drive (AWD) 2014 GT-R's engine delivers 545 horsepower and 463 lb.-ft. of torque through a 6-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
