New for 2014: Dodge

By: Jeff Youngs, 9/18/2013
2014 Dodge Overview

Until recently, the Dodge lineup encompassed a variety of cars, trucks, vans, SUVs, and crossovers. However, with the creation of the distinct Ram Truck brand, Dodge's roster has been reduced. For 2014, the lineup is represented by the Dart, a small sedan that's been updated with several standard features, larger standard engine for upper trim levels, and new options; Avenger midsize sedan highlighted by a couple of package updates; and the full-size Charger sedan, which boasts new colors and a Redline package that employs a cold-air induction system to boost horsepower.

Shoppers visiting a Dodge dealership will also find the 2014 Journey crossover, offered with seating for up to 7 occupants, revised option packages, and newly standard satellite radio service. The larger Dodge Durango SUV also provides 7-passenger seating, but, unlike the Journey, arrives for 2014 with a new 8-speed automatic transmission, optional Blu-ray/DVD rear-seat entertainment system, subtle interior and exterior styling changes, and additional safety features. Rounding out the assortment of Dodge-badged vehicles is the Challenger muscle car, most notably updated with a standard performance-tuned chassis, and the family-friendly Grand Caravan, which can be equipped with a 30th Anniversary Edition package.
