2013 Honda Model Overview

The Honda Accord is completely redesigned for 2013, and debuts with what the automaker calls its new "Earth Dreams" 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine and continuously variable transmission (CVT). A new pure-electric version of the Honda Fit is on sale this year, and Honda plans a thorough refresh of the Crosstour crossover and an update for the CR-Z hybrid. The Honda Civic is also expected to receive updates one year after a complete redesign. Minor changes, if any, are made to remaining Honda models.


2013 Honda Accord
The Honda Accord is a midsize 2-door coupe or 4-door sedan offered in several trim levels and with a choice of a 4-cylinder or V-6 engine. The Accord, one of the best-selling models in America, is completely redesigned for 2013.

2013 Honda Civic
Although the Honda Civic Coupe and Sedan were redesigned for the 2012 model year, Honda is expected to make several changes to the 2013 models. Those changes will be announced at a later date.

2013 Honda Crosstour
The Honda Crosstour is a midsize crossover SUV constructed on the previous-generation Honda Accord platform. The 5-passenger, 5-door hatchback model receives a significant mid-life update for 2013.

2013 Honda CR-V
The 2013 Honda CR-V is a compact, 5-passenger crossover SUV offered in LX, EX and EX-L trim levels. All CR-V trims are equipped with a 185-horsepower, 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine and a 5-speed automatic transmission, with a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. The CR-V was completely redesigned for 2012.

2013 Honda CR-Z
The 2013 Honda CR-Z is a 2-passenger hybrid vehicle designed for sporty performance. It goes on sale in January 2013, and will be equipped with updated styling, revised interior, and a more powerful gas-electric hybrid powertrain.

2013 Honda FCX Clarity
The Honda FCX Clarity is a hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle available only for lease, and only in California where a network of hydrogen filling stations exist. The FCX Clarity is a zero-emission vehicle, producing only water vapor as a by-product of combustion. Honda is building 600 FCX Clarity vehicles over a 3-year period, and 2013 is the final year of production, according to the automaker.

2013 Honda Fit
The 2013 Honda Fit, a 5-passenger subcompact hatchback, is now available as an EV model. The Fit EV is an electric car, available only for lease, and in limited quantities through the winter of 2014. This model offers a driving range of 82 miles, and Honda says it will fully recharge in 3 hours using a 240-volt power outlet.

2013 Honda Insight
The 2013 Honda Insight is a 5-passenger, 5-door hatchback equipped with a gas-electric hybrid powertrain. Fuel-economy ratings are 41 mpg in the city and 44 mpg on the highway. The Insight is the least expensive hybrid model sold in America, and is available in base, LX and EX trim levels.

2013 Honda Odyssey
The 2013 Honda Odyssey is a minivan that seats up to 8 passengers. It is offered in LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, and Touring Elite trim levels, the latter including every available feature and equipped with a base price of $44,755. A 248-horsepower V-6 engine is standard and features cylinder-deactivation technology. A 5-speed automatic transmission is standard, with a 6-speed automatic transmission optional. For 2013, the Odyssey gains several standard features.

2013 Honda Pilot
The 2013 Honda Pilot is a 7-passenger, midsize crossover SUV equipped with a 250-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine with cylinder-deactivation technology. All-wheel-drive is optional. The Pilot is offered in LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring trim levels, can tow up to 4,500 pounds and can carry up to 87 cubic feet of cargo with both rear rows of seats folded down. For 2013, the Pilot adds several new standard features.

2013 Honda Ridgeline
The 2013 Honda Ridgeline is a 5-passenger, crew cab pickup truck. Unlike most pickups, the Ridgeline employs a unibody platform and structure, rather than body-on-frame construction. A 250-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine is standard, and is the only one available. The Ridgeline is also equipped with Honda's Variable Torque Management all-wheel-drive system, a locking rear differential, and a 5-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity is 5,000 pounds and maximum payload capacity is 1,559 pounds. An 8.5-cubic-foot "in-bed trunk" is located under the cargo floor.
