2013 Porsche Model Overview

Porsche, never a company about standing still, is making a lot of changes for 2013 models. A new 2013 Boxster is on sale, marking the first time the 2-seat roadster has been completely redesigned since it debuted for 1997. Additionally, Porsche continues the rollout of redesigned 911 models, introducing the Carrera 4 and Carrera 4S variants with all-wheel drive. Porsche expands the Cayenne SUV lineup with the addition of the Cayenne Diesel, Cayenne GTS, and the Cayenne Turbo S, nearly doubling the number of available models. A new Platinum Edition of the Panamera and Panamera 4 is also on sale for 2013. Finally, the Cayman is due for a total redesign, but details of the new sports car are not available as this buyer's guide is written.


2013 Porsche 911
The 2013 Porsche 911 is a 2+2 sports car sold in coupe or convertible body styles. Carrera and more powerful Carrera S models are available, and this year new all-wheel-drive versions with Carrera 4 and Carrera 4S designations are on sale. A redesigned version of the Porsche 911 Turbo is expected to arrive soon.

2013 Porsche Boxster
The 2013 Porsche Boxster is completely redesigned for the first time since it originally debuted for the 1997 model year. Boxster and more powerful Boxster S models are on sale, each offering improvements over the previous model.

What's New:
  • Longer wheelbase, wider track, lighter weight
  • Larger interior with more technology
  • Convertible top raises/lowers in 10 seconds
  • Optional Porsche Torque Vectoring technology
  • Boxster S accelerates to 60 mph in as few as 4.5 seconds, has a top speed of 173 mph


2013 Porsche Cayenne
The 2013 Porsche Cayenne is a 5-passenger SUV combining on-road athleticism with off-road capability. This year, the model lineup nearly doubles with the addition of the fuel-efficient Cayenne Diesel, sport-tuned Cayenne GTS, and the performance-oriented Cayenne Turbo S.

  • Cayenne Diesel model debuts with 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder turbo-diesel engine generating 240 horsepower and 406 lb.-ft. of torque
  • Cayenne GTS model debuts with 420-horsepower V-8 engine and unique styling details
  • Cayenne Turbo S model debuts with 550-horsepower, turbocharged V-8 engine and 175-mph top speed


2013 Porsche Cayman
The Porsche Cayman is a 2-seat closed-coupe version of the Porsche Boxster. As this buyer's guide is written, details for the all-new 2013 Boxster are available, but Porsche has not indicated when the redesigned 2013 Cayman might arrive.

2013 Porsche Panamera
The Porsche Panamera is a large, 4-passenger, 5-door hatchback offered in 10 variations, including the new-for-2013 Panamera GTS and Panamera Platinum Edition models. The Panamera Platinum Edition is based on the V-6-powered standard Panamera and Panamera 4 models, adding extra equipment at a discounted price.
