Introduction
The 2014 Audi SQ5 is a new performance-tuned version of the Audi Q5 crossover SUV.

Exterior Features
To ensure that the new 2014 SQ5 stands apart from other Q5 models, the performance variant receives modified front and rear styling, Alu-Optic exterior trim, and unique 20-inch aluminum wheels. Xenon Plus headlights with LED running lights illuminate the path forward, and the rear is equipped with quad exhaust outlets for a unique appearance. Additionally, the SQ5 is equipped with special "V6T" fender badges and "SQ5"-stamped brake calipers, and is offered in Estoril Blue and Panther Black paint colors, which are not offered on other Q5 models.

Interior Features
Audi plans to equip the 2014 SQ5 with sport-bolstered power front seats fitted with leather upholstery and Alcantara inserts. The cabin features a mix of brushed aluminum and Alu-Optic trim, and the gauge cluster is rendered with gray-faced dials and white numerals.

Optional Features
Audi says it will offer a variety of optional upgrades for the new 2014 SQ5, including an Audi MMI Navigation Plus infotainment system, Audi Connect Bluetooth and mobile Internet service, and a choice of interior colors and trims, including Piano Black, Carbon Atlas, and layered aluminum and Beaufort Black wood cabin inlays. Also optional is Dynamic Steering, which provides different effort levels adjusted through the Audi Drive Select system. Additional upgrades are likely to include a Bang & Olufsen audio system and a rear-seat entertainment system.

Under the Hood
The 2014 Audi SQ5 is equipped with a supercharged, 3.0-liter V-6 engine generating 354 horsepower between 6,000 rpm and 6,500 rpm and 347 lb.-ft. of torque between 4,000 rpm and 4,500 rpm. An 8-speed automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive are standard, the latter offering torque vectoring capability at the rear wheels.

According to Audi, the 2014 SQ5 will accelerate to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds and achieve a top speed of 155 mph. A sport-tuned suspension and 255/45 tires are standard. Audi will offer a set of 21-inch wheels and tires as an option.

Safety
When the 2014 Audi SQ5 was introduced, the emphasis was on performance rather than safety. However, it is likely that the new SQ5 will be offered with safety features currently standard or available on the Q5 model, including an adaptive cruise control system, blind-spot monitoring system, front and rear park-assist sensors, reversing camera, rain-sensing wipers, and more.

Technology
Audi Drive Select allows drivers to tailor the engine's throttle response, the transmission's shift characteristics, suspension firmness, and with the optional Dynamic Steering system, steering feel and response. Audi Connect is a wireless connectivity system that turns the SQ5 into a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot, while facilitating Bluetooth calling and music streaming as well as the operation of mobile applications.
