2012 Hyundai Veloster Recalled Over Breaking Sunroof Glass

Hyundai is recalling 13,500 units of the 2012 Veloster equipped with the optional panoramic glass sunroof. According to the automaker, the sunroof assembly may have been weakened during installation at the factory and, as a result, the sunroof glass could break while the vehicle is being driven, which could lead to personal injury or a crash.

The affected vehicles were built between November 1, 2011 and April 17, 2012. Hyundai dealers will inspect the sunroof and, if necessary, replace the sunroof assembly at no cost to the vehicle owner. Hyundai expects to begin this process in January of 2013.
