2015 Audi S3 Promises Powerful Performance Without Prohibitive Price
Quattro all-wheel drive is standard equipment, along with a lowered sport suspension, bigger brakes, progressive variable-ratio electric steering, and 18-inch aluminum wheels unique to the S3 Sedan. Audi Drive Select technology tailors throttle response, shift points, and steering calibration to Auto, Dynamic, Comfort, or Individual settings, and an Audi Magnetic Ride Damper Control suspension is optional.
Audi sets the S3 Sedan apart from the A3 Sedan with a unique front bumper, revised grille, different mirror housings, restyled side sills, special rear spoiler, and a rear diffuser panel with quad exhaust outlets. Inside, the S3 Sedan is equipped with standard front sport seats, gray-faced gauges, and black trim.
Like the new A3 Sedan, the 2015 Audi S3 offers a number of new technologies, including the latest version of Audi MMI Navigation Plus with an MMI Touchpad controller and a more powerful graphics processor, Audi Phone Box that expands cellular coverage for a smartphone, and Audi Connect services running on a faster 4G/LTE network. Additional upgrades include a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen surround-sound system, Park Assist that steers the vehicle into a parking space while the driver operates the pedals and transmission, adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go functionality, full LED headlights, Audi Active Lane Assist, and more.
Audi has not announced the price of the new 2015 S3 performance sedan, but it will slot in beneath the S4 Sedan, which is currently commanding $48,475. Keep options to a minimum, and the new Audi S3 promises to deliver impressive performance without a prohibitive price tag.
