Recall Roundup: Automakers Address Little Problems Before They Become Big Problems
2012-2013 Honda Fit
Honda is recalling 43,782 units of the Honda Fit sub-compact that were built between May 23, 2011, and March 22, 2013. In these vehicles, the stability control system may allow excessive yaw rate at high steering angles when the car is equipped with certain tires. As a result, they fail to conform to federal safety standards.
Beginning on May 17, 2013, Honda dealers will reprogram the affected Fit models' stability control systems at no charge to owners. Vehicle owners with questions can contact Honda at 1-800-999-1009, referencing Honda recall campaign number S99 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recall campaign ID number 13V157000.

2013 Nissan Altima
Nissan is recalling 123,308 units of the 2013 Nissan Altima built between March 21, 2012, and March 26, 2013. These vehicles may be equipped with spare tires that are significantly over-inflated or under-inflated. An over- or under-inflated spare tire can fail without warning when used, increasing the risk of a crash.
Beginning on May 3, Nissan dealers will inspect the spare tires and adjust tire pressure to the proper setting at no charge to owners. Altima owners can contact Nissan with questions at 1-800-647-7261. The NHTSA recall campaign ID number for this action is 13V158000.

2012 Rolls-Royce Ghost
Ten units of the 2012 Rolls-Royce Ghost were equipped with 20-inch tires; however, the tire information label lists 19-inch tires. This means that the car did not meet federal standards and the incorrect information on the label could lead to an owner or service technician inflating the tires to an incorrect pressure, increasing the risk of tire failure and a crash.
To remedy the problem, Rolls-Royce has sent a new label to affected owners, and the recall is closed. The NHTSA campaign ID number for this recall was 12V368000.

2014 Subaru Forester
Subaru is recalling 10,137 units of the redesigned 2014 Subaru Forester, built between January 2013 and March 2013. The floor mat backing material does not meet manufacturer specifications, and the floor mats may curl when exposed to heat. A curled floor mat could interfere with operation of the clutch, brake, or accelerator pedals, which increases the risk of a crash.
Subaru is notifying owners and will replace the faulty floor mats with new ones at no cost to owners. No timetable for the delivery of the replacement floor mats was given. Forester owners can contact Subaru with questions at 1-800-782-2783, referencing Subaru recall campaign number WQH-44. The NHTSA recall campaign ID number is 13V159000.
