2014 Honda Odyssey Refined for Better Fuel Economy, Connectivity

6/28/2013
A refreshed 2014 Honda Odyssey arrives in dealer showrooms next week (July 2), just before Independence Day. The Odyssey currently is the best-selling minivan in the U.S. market, according to J.D. Power research. The 2014 model comes with a bevy of new technology, safety, and connectivity features. Available in seven trim levels, the top-of-the-line Touring Elite model even boasts an onboard vacuum developed with Shop-Vac for use on trips and for families hauling groceries, sports equipment, children, and dogs.

The 2014 Odyssey's 3.5-liter, 24-valve V-6 engine will be mated with a standard 6-speed automatic transmission on all trim levels for better fuel economy. EPA fuel-economy estimates for the 2014 model have been raised from the 2013 model's fuel rating by 1 mile per gallon, to 19/28 mpg city/highway. Also, the new Odyssey features more safety technologies, and revamped instrument and electronic controls in the cockpit.

Suggested list prices (MSRPs) for the 2014 Honda Odyssey's different trim levels range from $28,825 for the base LX trim level to $44,450 for the top-of-the-line Touring Elite. Honda has been building and selling Odyssey minivans in the U.S. market since 1994. The current refresh is on the fourth-generation model that was redesigned in 2010.
