2014 Mitsubishi Mirage Prices Announced
For example, according to Mitsubishi, the Mirage is "the most fuel-efficient, non-hybrid, gasoline-powered vehicle available in America." The company says the new Mirage will return 40 mpg in combined driving when equipped with the continuously variable transmission (CVT) option, which costs $1,000. Compare that with the Chevy Spark, which is rated to get 34 mpg with its optional CVT. Note, however, that final EPA mileage estimates for the Mirage had not been published as this article was written.
Additionally, the 2014 Mirage includes a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile standard warranty complete with roadside assistance for 5 years and unlimited miles. Chevrolet's warranty coverage is not as generous.
When the new Mitsubishi Mirage goes on sale, the least expensive DE trim level will include automatic climate control, power windows with express operation for the driver's window, power door locks with remote keyless entry, power side mirrors, and a tilt steering wheel. A 140-watt, 4-speaker audio system is also included, and features a USB port and iPod connection. Upgrade to the Mirage ES ($14,900) and the car has Bluetooth, cruise control, a FAST-Key passive entry system with push-button starting, upgraded interior trim, and aluminum wheels.
Mitsubishi expects the new Mirage to roll into dealer showrooms by the end of 2013.
