Chrysler Debuts New 300 SRT8 "Core" Model with Lower Price

Intended to appeal to driving enthusiasts seeking a basic approach, the new 2013 Chrysler 300 SRT8 "Core" model is equipped with unique 20-inch aluminum wheels with black-painted pockets, black-painted brake calipers, and a 6.4L badge for the front fenders. Inside, black cloth seat upholstery replaces the standard leather, and the 300 SRT8 "Core" model includes Matte Carbon and Piano Black interior trim.
Nothing under the hood is touched. That means the new Chrysler 300 SRT8 "Core" model is equipped with a 6.4-liter V-8 engine generating 470 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque, 5-speed automatic transmission, and an active exhaust system. Chrysler says the 300 SRT8 accelerates to 60 mph in under five seconds, stops from 60 mph in 120 feet, and can achieve a maximum speed of 175 mph.
