New Dodge Charger SRT8 392 and Chrysler 300 SRT Concept Models Shown to Loyal Owners in California

3/27/2013
Each year, Chrysler 300, Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger, and Dodge Magnum owners gather in Orange County, California, for the annual Spring Festival of LXs, a reference to the "LX" platform upon which these rear-drive vehicles are constructed. This year, festival-goers were treated to a Chrysler 300 SRT Concept vehicle and were the first to see the 2013 Dodge Charger SRT8 392.

While no actual performance enhancements grace the Charger SRT8 392, the model is equipped with exclusive 20-inch Black Vapor Chrome wheels, as well as unique black fender badges, black rear spoiler, black side striping, black roof, black side mirror caps, and a black insert for the power bulge hood. Under the hood is an exclusive engine cover emblazoned with "392." This $2,495 option package will be available in five different paint colors: Billet Silver Metallic, Bright White, Hemi Orange, Plum Crazy, and TorRed.

Dodge plans to build just 392 examples of the Charger SRT8 392, spread across the 2013 and 2014 model years, each commemorated by a plaque on the dashboard noting the official production build number. Dealers will begin taking orders in April, and the 2013 Dodge Charger SRT8 392 is priced at $48,740, including the $995 destination charge.

Chrysler also introduced a concept version of the 300 SRT at the Festival of LXs. The Chrysler 300 SRT Concept features a flat slate blue paint job, Black Vapor Chrome 20-inch wheels, black mirror caps, black grille trim, black window surrounds, and smoked taillight lenses. No plans have been announced regarding a production version of the 300 SRT Concept.
