New Blacked-out Ram 1500 Pickup Arrives This Summer

7/12/2013
Full-size truck buyers seeking to kill a whole bunch of their free time removing dust and water drips--and applying liberal amounts of tire dressing--to make sure their totally blacked-out pickup is always looking its best, have a new canvas upon which to apply their efforts.

Starting this summer, the 2013 Ram 1500 Black Express is available in Regular Cab, Quad Cab, and Crew Cab styles with 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive and a standard 5.7-liter V-8 engine generating 395 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque. The base price is $26,995 plus a destination charge of $1,095.

"Ram Trucks are known for their bold, in-your-face presence," said Reid Bigland, president and CEO--Ram Truck Brand. "The new Black Express takes Ram's aggressive good looks to an all new sinister level by 'blackening out' the entire truck while maintaining a great price."

Here is what is not black on the outside of the Ram 1500 Black Express: headlamp elements, fog lights, wheel center caps, wheel bolts, door key cylinders, rear license plate lights, taillights, exhaust outlets, and that's about it. Unlike the standard Ram 1500 Express, the Black Express gets LED running lights and taillights.
