Next-Generation Chevy Camaro to Be Made in the U.S.A.

General Motors has announced that it will move production of the next-generation Chevrolet Camaro to its Lansing Grand River assembly plant in Lansing, Michigan. The facility builds the company's other two rear-wheel-drive models, the Cadillac ATS and the Cadillac CTS.

The move would mark the first time the Camaro has been built in the United States since GM closed its Van Nuys, California, assembly plant in 1992. Currently, the Camaro is built in Oshawa, Ontario. The company did not provide a timeline for the move, except to say that it would occur at the end of the existing Camaro model's life cycle.
