New Blacked-Out 2014 Ram Heavy Duty Truck Now Available

By: Jeff Youngs, 4/7/2014
A new version of the 2014 Ram Heavy Duty trucks is coming soon to a dealership near you. Offered for both the 2500 and 3500 series models with a Crew Cab or Mega Cab configuration and a single-rear-wheel setup in back, the new Black Appearance Group is offered in conjunction with Big Horn, Lone Star, and Laramie trim levels. Additionally, buyers can outfit the new blacked-out Ram Heavy Duty with 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive, and with a gasoline or diesel engine.

Starting with the exterior, the Black Appearance Group features black paint, black bumpers, black trim, and black 20-in. aluminum wheels. Ram strips the truck of badges unless the optional Cummins diesel engine is installed, and then the truck simply gets a "Diesel" badge. Additionally, the Black Appearance Group includes fog lights, projector-beam headlights with black bezels, amber LED lighting for the front turn signals and side marker lights, and red LED lighting for the blacked-out taillights. A ParkView reversing camera and ParkSense rear park-assist sensors are also a part of the new option package.

Ram says customers can now order the Black Appearance Group. So equipped, the least expensive variation on the theme costs $43,335, including the $1,195 destination charge.
