2014 SRT Viper TA Built as Limited-Production Time Attack Model
Starting with the standard SRT Viper rather than the heavier Viper GTS, engineers install a 2-mode Bilstein DampTronic suspension with firmer dampers, track-tuned springs, and racing-derived stabilizer bars. Pirelli P Zero Corsa performance tires are wrapped around ultra-lightweight, multi-spoke Sidewinder II aluminum wheels painted Matte Black, providing what SRT claims is the largest contact patch of any production car.
The Brembo braking components provide increased thermal capacity and improved heat dissipation properties and include black-anodized brake calipers emblazoned with "Viper" in TA Orange paint. A carbon-fiber structural X-brace is also included, and SRT claims the 2014 Viper TA boasts a perfect 50/50 front-to-rear weight distribution for its 3,348-pound curb weight.
All 33 examples of the 2014 SRT Viper TA will be painted TA Orange, and will include an aerodynamics package including carbon fiber front splitters, carbon fiber rear spoiler, and a carbon fiber rear applique panel. The vehicle will be sold in mono-spec format, and features orange accent stitching inside the cabin.
The price for the Viper TA has not been announced, but given the vehicle's limited-production nature, it is likely to command a premium over other versions of the Viper. It will make its official debut at the 2013 New York International Auto Show.
