Fit-based Honda Urban SUV Concept Coming to Detroit

Last week, Honda announced a plan to build the next-generation Honda Fit in Mexico, and to launch new variants, including a small crossover SUV sized smaller than the existing CR-V. This week, Honda released this teaser sketch of a "Compact Urban SUV Concept," which will be introduced next month at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The Honda Urban SUV Concept, according to the automaker, offers a "sporty and dynamic" profile with a "spacious and functional" interior.

In addition to building a new crossover SUV on the next-generation Fit platform, Honda is planning a sedan version of the car to complement the current 5-door hatchback model.
