2015 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Offers New Technology, Autobiography Editions

In Geneva, Land Rover announced new InControl connectivity features that are compatible with Apple and Android smartphones. In addition to pairing a smartphone to the system via Bluetooth, InControl Apps provides access to popular mobile applications right on the Range Rover Evoque's touch-screen infotainment screen. At launch, InControl Apps will support a range of applications including, but not limited to, iHeartRadio, Glympse, Parkopedia, CitySeeker, and Winston.
Land Rover's InControl system also provides InControl Remote technology. This allows the 2015 Range Rover Evoque owner to remotely access the vehicle to check the fuel level and how far the SUV can be driven on the remaining amount of gas, to remind the owner where the SUV is parked, to obtain roadside assistance, to access emergency responders, and to even track the vehicle if it has been stolen.
In addition to the 2015 Range Rover Evoque model's InControl technologies, Land Rover has announced new top-of-the-line trim levels called the Autobiography and Autobiography Dynamic, the latter a more powerful version of the Evoque than has been offered before.
The new Range Rover Evoque Autobiography is equipped with the same 240-horsepower, turbocharged, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine and 9-speed automatic transmission as other Evoque models, but is finished with unique styling details, larger 20-in. aluminum wheels, and premium perforated leather seats with heating, ventilation, and "Autobiography" embossed upon the head restraints. Choose the Range Rover Evoque Autobiography Dynamic model for a bespoke exterior and interior treatment as well as a more powerful engine and other modifications intended to make this version of the SUV the most entertaining to drive.
Under the Autobiography Dynamic model's hood sits a revised version of the standard engine tuned to make 285 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque, increases of 45 hp and 44 lb.-ft. over the standard state of tune. In addition to a more powerful engine, the Autobiography Dynamic features a revised 9-speed automatic transmission, standard torque-vectoring technology as a part of its Active Driveline 4-wheel-drive system, modified steering, sportier suspension tuning, and larger brakes.
The result of these mechanical modifications is quicker acceleration to 60 mph by nearly half a second, according to Land Rover, with the Autobiography Dynamic arriving at that speed in 6.7 seconds. Top speed is also increased from 135 mph to 140 mph. If you want to advertise your Range Rover Evoque's increased performance potential, the Autobiography Dynamic version is exclusively available with Phoenix Orange paint.
