Mopar '13 Dodge Dart Brings Dart Model Count to Seven

2/4/2013
At the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, a new limited-edition version of the 2013 Dodge Dart will debut, equipped with numerous Mopar performance and cosmetic modifications. Mopar is the aftermarket parts and accessories brand within the Chrysler Group LLC family.

The new Mopar '13 Dodge Dart is based on a Dart Limited, with a turbocharged, 160-horsepower, 1.4-liter 4-cylinder engine and a 6-speed manual gearbox. Mechanical upgrades include sport-tuned steering, exhaust, and premium brakes with slotted rotors, along with a lowered sport suspension and gloss black 18-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in 225/40R18 performance tires.

Cosmetically, the new Mopar '13 Dodge Dart is painted black with an offset Mopar Blue racing stripe. A Mopar ground effects kit includes a front spoiler, rear deck lid spoiler, and a rear diffuser panel.

Inside, the Mopar '13 Dodge Dart is equipped with black leather upholstery with Mopar Blue piping, except for the driver seat, which is wrapped in Mopar Blue leather with black piping. Mopar Blue accent stitching, dashboard trim, and interior lighting are also included, and cabin trim is rendered in light black chrome or gloss black. A sport pedal kit and a serialized production plate for the dashboard further distance this Dart from other models, and buyers receive a personalized owner's kit.

Mopar plans a limited-production run of 500 of these Darts, assembled in Belvidere, Illinois, and equipped with a standard Uconnect 8.4 infotainment system and an industry-first wireless smartphone charging system.
