Aston Martin Introduces 2013 Vanquish in Monterey
?Aston Martin has updated its aging Vanquish luxury grand touring car for the 2013 model year, adding new carbon fiber body panels to a next-generation version of the existing structure that is stiffer and less prone to flexing, providing a smoother ride. The new model retains the familiar 565-horsepower, 6.0-liter V-12 engine and 6-speed automatic transmission. Aston Martin says acceleration to 60 mph is expected to take 4.1 seconds.According to the automaker, styling for the new 2013 Vanquish takes its inspiration from the Aston Martin One-77 supercar and features what the company calls an "elegant new waist (and) elongated side strakes," as well as LED side strake accents and LED rear light blades. The roof of the car displayed at Pebble Beach had exposed carbon fiber, blue paint, and black wheels with machined-finish edges. LED lighting and a new steering wheel design are included, and the car can be configured as a 2-seater or as a 2+2 model.
The 2013 Aston Martin Vanquish goes on sale in the United States early in 2013 for $279,995.
