2013 VW GTI Driver's Edition and Wolfsburg Edition Debut in Chicago

The 2013 Volkswagen GTI Wolfsburg Edition goes on sale by the end of March, priced at $25,095 with the standard 6-speed manual gearbox. A Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) automated manual transmission is optional and priced at $1,100. The automaker plans to build just 2,000 examples of the GTI Wolfsburg Edition, which will include standard GTI equipment plus upgraded 18-inch Laguna design aluminum wheels, carpeted floor mats with red stitching, and what Volkswagen refers to as a "retro-themed golf ball shifter knob."
The 2013 Volkswagen GTI Driver's Edition builds on the Wolfsburg Edition with partial leather seating, power sunroof, navigation system, certificate of authenticity, and a GTI hat, keychain and parking sign. Volkswagen plans 3,000 examples of the GTI Driver's Edition, which starts at $29,695 with the manual transmission.
